Best Eye Cream Reviews

June 4th, 2013

The best eye cream for dark circles and the best eye cream for wrinkles can be different products for one person, and the same product for another person. We are all different. The problem with skin care is not simply using products to fix things, but finding the right skin care products to use. Dark circles under the eyes and fine lines are an age-old problem (pun intended). The best products for one person might not be the best for another. There are many different skin care products focusing on these areas, and the results can be a very personal experience. There are many people looking for magical solutions like:

  • How to Reduce Wrinkles
  • How to Fix Under Eye Lines
  • 10 Secrets of Skin Care
  • The Best Way to Moisturize Your Skin
  • Protecting Your Skin From Sun Damage

The truth is, that there are many elements that make up a healthy skin care recovery and maintenance routine. This site will address some of those elements, and help you prioritize the best steps for you to take.

By doing the proper research about these skin care products with your specific characteristics and problems in mind, you can achieve the best results with the lowest cost. Everyone’s skin care needs will be somewhat unique.

Skin care can appear to be quite expensive at first glance, however if it works for you, this may be a money saver in the long run. Rather than a trial and error approach, proper up-front research can pay big dividends. You may also find that a simple, cheap, more common skin care product is exactly right for you.

We hope that the information at undereye-cream.com helps you to narrow down the range of possible skin care ideas and to find a solution that works for you.

Remember to keep the question “what is skin?” and “how do I keep it healthy?” using the right skin care products as an aid.

How to approach a solution choice?

What is skin? The answer to this is more complex than you’d imagine. Skin is actually an organ! As an organ, and not just a covering to be admired and abused, your skin must be kept healthy. Lines, wrinkles, dark circles, crows feet, dry patches and discoloration, to name a few symptoms, might be an indication that your skin is not receiving the best care.

Your skin needs good nutrition, it needs to be healthy so it can work properly and produce the needed elements like collagen that will keep it healthy looking, and to have the cells in a state where they can absorb, moisture, cleanse impurities and avoid disease.

When trying to select an under eye or skin care product that will suit your needs, there is a huge array of choice. Do you need an eye cream? Do you need a general skin care product? Can multiple solutions be combined easily? … What I like to do is to look at the following areas:

1) What are the attributes of the product? For example, does it target puffy eyes, or dark circles under the eyes? Does it address fine lines? Does it have an SPF factor for sun protection? Is it suited to dry skin or oily skin? Does it need to be continually used or only for short durations? Is it priced within reach? Does it work well on sensitive skin or for people with allergies, are there product reviews I can read?…

2) Next, I look at the solution-advantages. Here I ask things to determine how a skin care product might be right for me? A product is only going to be good if I will use it. Sitting on the shelf is no good! Is it easy for me to purchase? Is it easy to use? Does it have the combination of attributes that match my needs? Can it be used year round? Will I need to purchase both an eye cream and a face cream product?

3) Now I look at how the product-decision-points, how will the products will fit into my routines. For example if you are a no-fuss get-up-and-go gal, then something that requires intensive morning time might not be great. If my budget is limited, then an all-in-one skin care solution might be good. Here is where you need to be careful though! A solution like LifeCell, might appear expensive, but could actually have a lower Total Cost of Use (TCU) than other solutions, when you consider all the costs; versus needing multiple products, time to apply, switching between products, mess and clean-up, and for some people believe it or not – the choice of an eye cream might mean the need to change other cosmetics (foundation, moisturizer…), which can be very expensive. For other people, based on their specific solution-advantages, something less expensive like Olay Regenerist Best Eye Cream Reviews might be just what is needed.

4) Finally when I’ve narrowed my choices down to a few skin care products or eye creams, I look at the collective-benefits of each solution, to pick a “top-3 list” for me. This is the important thing “for me”, because each person is different. Does it meet all of your needs? Does it address fine lines, dark circles, crows feet, wrinkles, moisturizing needs, Sun protection etc…..

Spend some time doing this research, it will pay off! Then once you decide to move forwards, choose the skin care product from your top-3 list that you feel comfortable with, and be prepared to give it some time to work. Readers have found that a 2 to 3 month regimen is really needed before sticking with a specific skin care product. The first month might seem great, and then complications arise… or the first month might show minimal change.. and then WOW!!! Be patient!

When starting with anything new, it is usually a good idea to proceed slowly. You never know when something will have poor or even detrimental results. This is one of the things that makes finding the right solution so hard. It you have to start slowly and introduce changes a bit at a time, it might take you a very long time to find the best solution for you. That is one of the benefits that doing proper research,  or gather information from sites like this. If you read about something that seems right for you, (or conversely, something that sound all wrong) – it can give you a head start on choosing when to try something.

Best Eye Cream Comparisons

June 3rd, 2013

What is the best eye cream wrinkles? Which product will get rid of dark circles under eyes? What is the best eye cream for bags under the eyes? Rather than write long boring details about some of the products I have tried or am interested in trying, I decided that I’d use a table to provide you a quick snapshot of some of the information I found in web searches, as well as some of my personal experience or feedback of others that might guide you. There is so much information out there, that finding out how they worked for other people can set you on the right path. The web is an amazing place to get information, but what do you trust? Be sure to look around and use your judgement.

If you click on the picture of a product, it will take you to a page that provides much more detail, including pricing.

Please remember to send me your feedback so that I can update this information and together we can be as helpful to others as possible. (Thanks for the feedback I have received so far. I will update the comments below based on your experience)

Since I don’t use as my primary solution this is a good niche product for me.

In Addition to the Best Under Eye Cream, consider …

June 3rd, 2013

So that’s great! You’re working on something that is bothering you! But wait… we can all tend to be a bit self critical and focus on details that others might not see. What is important now, is to make sure that you are not so obsessed with your eyes that you let everything else go!
For a cheap reference with some great tips, try: this amazing eBook.

Don’t forget about other details. You are a total package. By considering the extras, you can achieve better results.

  1. You are what you eat. If you are eating junk (or even stuff that is mass produced), you’ll be surprised at the impact on your appearance. What used to stop me here, is that healthy food, in my mind, did not always taste good. Look around. Make sure you are getting a balanced diet, sufficient essential oils and EFA, as well as a good selection of healthy natural products that you really like.

  5. Clothes are important. Choose ones you like, are comfortable in and that highlight your assets. On the subject of clothes – make sure you pay attention to sun damage. There are some really great clothes that don’t leave everything “hanging out”, and give you sun coverage. But be reasonable!!

  6. Consider making a hat a regular part of your wardrobe… I mean when you are outside. Hats look great, and give you unbeatable sun protection. However a hat sitting at home does you no good at all. I have found some athletic-oriented hats, some of which can be used by runners or hikers to be highly functional and great looking. Of course there are other selections that will help you to dress it up a bit. But choose wisely!

  7. Grooming goes without saying! Tend to those eyebrows, lashes and red-eyes. You’ll find with everything else you are doing that this does not end up being a huge chore. No matter how great your eye’s look, a caterpillar above them will not look good.

As I stressed previously, ideas do nothing. It is actions that speak. You are better choosing a few things that you will stick with, than many things that you will abandon. If cutting down a bit on the junk food, adding a bit more F&V (Fruit and veg) to your diet, wearing a sunscreen and a hat are all you want to start with, that’s fine.

Reassess yourself regularly. Check to see if there is anything you should change. It is easy to sink back into a pattern of comfort. You might choose not to start an exercise routine at first. If you don’t come back every so often and ask what you should change, what is the chance you’ll start spontaneously exercising later!!! (slim). Pick a date (I use the 1st day of each month when I turn over the calendar page), to quickly think, “What is working?”, “What is not?”, and “What am I missing?”

Video Proof

June 3rd, 2013

Find the best eye cream to get rid of dark circles under eyes. This can be hard to do! Sometimes a video can provide better details than just plain text – but other times they look amateur. The trick is not to discount anything just based on its feel, but to look at the content delivered. There are tons of sites and videos that describe the benefits of LifeCell. Here is one example that you can watch. There are many video (some of them pretty cheezy, but I only know what worked for me.

Choices for The Best Under Eye Wrinkle Cream

June 3rd, 2013

I quickly realized that I needed to find the best under eye wrinkle cream. Specifically the best cream to get rid of dark circles under eyes. I began what was to end up being a very long process. I had no idea that it would take me so much time to find what I would need. I certainly did not think that I would waste so much money on this search. There is a difference on spending money and wasting money. If you buy something, and get value for your money, see results and control what you purchase – that is spending. If you end up trying multiple skin care products, and jumping from product to product in the desperate search for results, the expenses quickly pile up. Whether your choices have been expensive or not, if the purchases do not live up to your expectations, then you are wasting money.

For me – here are the top three solutions in my cabinet. Look around at other solutions on this site and you may find others that work best for you!

    1.  Lifecell – This stuff is wonderful. I found that it tackled puffiness, dark circles, fine lines, and could be used on the under-eye, lid, brow without irritation. I have sensitive eyes. It is on the expensive end, but for me was well worth it. I use this as my main go-to solution.
      • Highly rated and well reviewed
      • no side effect
      • visible improvements around eyes, lids, brows
      • reduce puffiness/bags
      • reduce circles
      • reduce wrinkles and fine lines
      • offers free trial

LifeCell Choices for The Best Under Eye Wrinkle Cream

    2.  BASQNYC Cucumber Tea Eye Gel is my prefered product for periods of high allergic activity. When the pollen is high (or the cats are shedding), I get terribly itchy eyes. Rather then rub them furiously and undo everything else I have been trying to do, I find the this gel is really soothing. It is not a full solution in many ways…. it does not address many of my problems, but I have normal-oily skin, and this soothes without being greasy.
      •  Alleviates irritation and itching
      • Moisturizes without adding greasiness
      • Works well on dark circles
      • Seems to last a long time for me

    3. Sheseido Sun Protection Eye Cream is my alternate eye cream when I know that I am going to be in bright sunlight. Since my eyes are sensitive, I can’t have lots of harsh chemicals near my eyes. This product uses zinc oxide as the SPF, so it is not a problem for me.
      • Great for sun protection
      • a bit thick to apply, but absorbs nicely and does not run.
      • Good results for fine lines

So there is my current list. Based on my needs, the type of activities, skin types, allergies and climate, these products have given me good results.  I’d love to hear your comments on these items. Did they work well for you? Do you  have any other recommendations to share? If you post comments, please share details about your skin type and specific needs so we can all benefit from learning about products that work for different conditions.

With so many products on the market, and new ones arriving over time, sharing this information is our best way of learning without everyone having to spend so much trying them out.

Do your homework!

Background

June 3rd, 2013

In your search for the best under eye cream, it is helpful to understand the background behind the products. LifeCell started as a venture to get to the bottom of anti-aging and skin care hype, by exploring aging from a scientific foundation. The company uses Nobel Prize science encouraged fundamentals to provide a holistic approach which not only hides wrinkles, but also restores and replenishes the skin. By aiming first and foremost at helping to promote healthy skin, LifeCell is a good path towards long term results, combating in the process: wrinkles, under-eye dark circles, puffiness, discoloration, lines and puffiness and more…

The Genesis:

LifeCell started as a small business with brains, but not clout. Imagine the challenges they would have breaking into the cosmetics empires and retail markets, to launch a product that would greatly simplify people’s lives, and even make the competition obsolete? For this reason, they started as an Internet-distribution only model, allowing wide global distribution, easy word-of-mouth recommendations, and minimal costs to the consumers. From there LifeCell has grown to a point where its success speaks for itself. Check out the celebrity and professional testimonials on its Web site here.

How is it backed:

LifeCell’s website looks fairly cheesy, but if you forget the layout and read the fundamentals, there are strong testimonials and facts about why LifeCell works. Dr. Janet Allenby is a cosmetic surgeon that swears by this stuff. She suggests that LifeCell can remove the need for “expensive Botox injection sessions and cosmetic surgeries can be either postponed or eliminated completely”. Now that was impressive, something actually less drastic, cheaper, healthier and non-invasive. Why not put it to the test before taking radical steps?

To take it one step further, LifeCell offers a free 30 day trial, so if you are not happy – nothing lost! So even if you heard about this from a friend, a review, a website, as long as you get the product directly from LifeCell, they stand by it and back it with their guarantee. Too often it seems like products marketed on the internet, get dumped onto distributors to handle any customer issues or returns. In this case LifeCell stands behind its own product, and purely uses the internet to spread the word! So I encourage you to go directly to their web-site:  LifeCell

The Science of LifeCell:
The list of ingredients in LifeCell has an impressive array of substances that when combined together produce strong results. I examined the list:

water, caprylic triglyercerides, ethoxydiglycol, stearyl alcohol, stearic acid, glyceryl stearate, disopropyl dimer dilinoleate, magnesium aluminum silicate, oxido reductases, soy peptides, cyclomethicone, hydrolyzed rice bran extract, deanol, dithiolane-3-pentanoic acid (D3-PA), copper gluconate, magnesium aspartate, zinc gluconate, acetyl hexapeptide-3, idebenone (CQ10), ascorbyl palmitate, fumed silica, silicon dioxide, propyl gallate, BHA, citric acid, propylene glycol…

The three that really stood out (since I was looking for long term effects, not just a cover up) were D3-PA, CQ10 and Ascorbyl Palmitate. I had read about D3-PA, but could not immediately find it on the list, because the long-form of the ingredient was listed. Next CQ10; I was disappointed NOT to see this in the list, but after some research found that idebenone is another term for the same thing. Finally, I looked up Ascorbyl Palmitate because it sounded familiar. I initially thought “oh –vitamin-C”, but came to realize that it is much more.

  1. D3-PA or Dithiolane-3 Pentoic Acid, is a powerful antioxidant that dissolves well in water as well as fat. It changes cell metabolism by allowing Nitric Oxide to be formed (which is usually a gas, and is hard to add to products. It helps to expand the blood vessels, improving circulation and overall skin health.
  2. CQ10 or Ubiquinone is found in some many foods that are rich in Essential Fatty Acids. Most people’s diet is not rich in these foods. It helps the skin retain moisture and almost form a natural shield. Together with CQ10, this can also assist in Collagen production.
  3. Finally, Ascorbyl Palmitate. This is absorbed into the cells giving the benefits of Vitamin-C, but going where Vitamin C cannot (the fat cells). It reduces inflamation, firms the skin and helps with color uniformity.

Finally, some added bonuses- fumed silica, silicon dioxide, and propyl gallate have been described to give quick cosmetic results by impacting the way that light is reflected – reducing the appearance of fine lines and dark under eye circles.

So there were powerful ingredients to assist with the fundamentals of skin care; prevention and repair, but also some ingredients to produce immediate short term results. This results in a powerhouse product that will just plain work.

Care For Your Skin With The Best Under Eye Wrinkle Cream

June 3rd, 2013

Choosing the best eye cream dark circles, or for bags under the eyes is part of the secret. However, knowing how to use skin care products is an important step to success. Also knowing about other things (diet/exercise…) is important too. Using skin care products can be like walking through a field of landmines. Here I will describe the steps that I have used to maximize the benefits and results of LifeCell in combination with my other routine skin care products.

It is important to follow these instructions to achieve consistent results, but remember, if you miss a day or miss a step, just carry on. This is an ongoing process that is meant to be intuitive and easy.

What you need:

  1. LifeCell (Life Cell) Anti Aging Wrinkle South Beach Skin Care. Get Lifecell here.
  2. A good quality skin and facial soap for gentle cleaning. I use Aveda Tourmaline Charged Cleanser Care For Your Skin With The Best Under Eye Wrinkle Creamwhich works well for me. If you have another product that suits you, feel free to stick with that.
  3. A good make-up remover. My favorite one is Bioderma Crealine H2o Ultra-mild Cleanser Care For Your Skin With The Best Under Eye Wrinkle Cream, but there is a wide selection of other suitable products which might give similar results.
  4. A sun protection skin cream that is suitable for facial application. I use one based on zinc oxide rather than harsh chemicals which might interact with other products. I would recommend that if you are not using Shiseido Sun Protection Eye Cream Care For Your Skin With The Best Under Eye Wrinkle Cream
  5. A product for occasional use if you have dry, allergic or irritated eyes. Again, I swear by this one by BASQNYC Care For Your Skin With The Best Under Eye Wrinkle Cream. I have tried many alternatives and have found this one to be the best.

Order of use:

  1. Use all cleansing and soap products according to their directions prior to using the products that will stay on your skin, like LifeCell.
  2. After cleansing, the first product to use is LifeCell.
  3. On days when I have irritating allergies, I skip the use of LifeCell in the morning, and use my BASQNYC cream instead.
  4. After applying LifeCell, then use the Shiseido SPF protection (if required)
  5. Next, follow-up with your regular makeup….. eye shadow, blusher etc…

Specific LifeCell instructions:

  1. Read the extensive product information the box and the pamphlet in the box. The tube of LifeCell has a small hole for dispensing the cream. This eliminated a frustration I’ve had with other products, where it is difficult to dispense exactly what you need, leading to waste.
  2. Your first application should be at night. Don’t try to take a short-cut here. Starting with an application that can stay (without other products being layered on top), will show you some dramatic results. The instructions suggested initially applying to half of my face. I started around 8 p.m. so I would be alert enough to really judge the results.
    • Cleanse your skin using your makeup remover and facial soap.
    • Use a small amount of cream and apply it to your forehead.  Smooth it in completely, and apply more if required.
    • Repeat this one side of your eye, then the other.
    • Continue this, paying special attention to any areas of your face that appear creased.
    • For the area under your eyes, dab small amounts on the bone below your eye, working it gently upwards. You don’t need to go too close to your eye, the product will absorb.
    • If you notice it taking too long to absorb, reduce the amount you are using.
  3. After about 5 or 6 minutes. When I looked in the mirror, it was such an obvious difference, that I quickly applied the cream to the rest of my face.
  4. Before going to bed a few hours later, I was able to observe:
    • Visible and effective skin moisturizing without the slimy feel that many products have.
    • Lines and wrinkles appeared to be softened, but my skin did not look tight and dry – which seems to be the common complaint of other products.
    • Some small wrinkles seemed to be almost gone.
    • Overall, everything appeared to be lifted, or less tired looking.
  5. Continue to use LifeCell twice daily… morning and evening. Repeat the steps
    • Cleanse
    • Apply LifeCell
    • Apply other makeup products after LifeCell.
  6. Do not forget to use the Shiseido SPF protection when you expect prolonged sun exposure.

What to expect:

You will probably notice results on the very first day. I did, and they were not just little changes, but clearly visible results. After the first week, you will see continued improvements, with the full deep effects really showing in as little as 28-30 days. Since this cream contains compounds that deliver immediate short term results (such as changing how the light reflects on your skin) as well as longer term results (changing the cell metabolism and collagen production), make sure to keep using it, and you’ll see continued benefits. Patience and consistency are the keys you’ll need.

You will be impressed with the results, and they only seem to get even better given time.
